Both EPA and IPG have contended that this article is based on conjecture and surmises. And the clarification says that the senior executive pilot’s views were not taken into account before publication. EPA is an association of senior pilots permanently employed with Air India registered since 2012. IPG is a union of pilots permanently employed with Air India and is registered since 1948.

Pune: The Executive pilots association ( EPA) and the Indian Pilots Guild ( IPG) has issued a clarification over an article published in this publication titled “Who will bell the sexual predators in the airline industry” which appeared on 1st June.

The publication wants to clarify that the article did not mean to hold prejudice against any of the members of the EPA or IPG and did not mean to cause any defamation.

Both EPA and IPG have contended that this article is based on conjecture and surmises. And the clarification says that the senior executive pilot’s views were not taken into account before publication. EPA is an association of senior pilots permanently employed with Air India registered since 2012. IPG is a union of pilots permanently employed with Air India and is registered since 1948. 

These organisations have communicated to us that their members take strong objections to some of the claims made in the article.

The publication has no intention of causing any damage to the reputation of any of these members and we apologise to these members if their reputation has got affected by the said article. We have withdrawn the article from our website.
