Youth tries to commit suicide at Mantralaya

A senior police officer said, “Pawar came to the main gate of Mantralaya, pulled a bottle of kerosene and sprinkled it all over his body. The police guards nabbed him and took him to Marine Drive police station.” 

MUMBAI: Ahmednagar youth Ganesh Pawar attempted suicide outside the main gate of Mantralaya on Wednesday morning demanding the arrest of Sambhaji Bhide of Shiv Pratishthan. 

A senior police officer said, “Pawar came to the main gate of Mantralaya, pulled a bottle of kerosene and sprinkled it all over his body. The police guards nabbed him and took him to Marine Drive police station.” 

After pouring kerosene he started shouting, “Bhide is the main culprit of Koregaon-Bhima riot and he should be arrested.” He also condemned Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not arresting Bhide. 

According to information given by police, Ganesh Pawar is a resident of Rahuri, Ahmednagar and an activist of the Republican Sena.
