Vehicular traffic on Pune - Mumbai Expressway resumes

Pune: Following disruption in rail, road traffic due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai on Tuesday, the vehicular traffic on expressway has been regularised  and the buses are plying smoothly.

The traffic on Pune- Mumbai Expressway which was halted for two hours on Tuesday night, was resumed after 9.30 pm on Tuesday informed  Amol Tambe, SP of highway traffic.

"We have already deputed special team near Ghat section to ease traffic." he added.

The maharashtra state road transport corporation (MSRTC) officials confirmed that ST buses have started plying towards Mumbai. 

"The buses that were stuck in Mumbai have sarted returning to Pune since early morning. We have already sent 10 buses including Shivneri, Semi luxury and other ST buses towards mumbai" said a senior offier of MSRTC.

The Railway has alredy announced cancellation of trains between Pune to Mumbai."

The trains will resume between these two cities only after getting further instruction from Central Railway Headquarter" said the railway official.
