Temperature to rise in the coming days

Pune: The city on Sunday reported minimum temperature of 12.1 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature of 31.2 degrees Celsius, indicating that winter is finally over. In the State as well, the lowest minimum temperature was reported in Nagpur at 8.3 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the day temperature in the city will rise up to 31 degrees Celsius in the coming week.
 
The Met department forecast also indicated that the night temperature will further rise to 14 degrees Celsius in this week. The sky shall remain clear during this time.

IMD has forecasted that Maharashtra and Goa will experience dry weather till January 24. 

National scenario
According to IMD, the lowest minimum temperature recorded on Sunday in the plains was five degrees Celsius in Nowgong in east Madhya Pradesh. Dense fog was also observed at isolated places over Tripura on Sunday. Also, moderate fog was observed at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and coastal Andhra Pradesh during wee hours on Sunday.

IMD has predicted heavy rain and snow at a few places like Jammu and Kashmir till January 22. During the same time, heavy rain and snow has been forecast at a few places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Heavy rain has been forecast over northwest Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi till January 22.

IMD has also predicted that due to an interaction between easterly-westerly winds, there is likely to be rainfall activity over central India and northern plains on January 25 and 26.
