State women’s panel sends notice to Nana Patekar

In light of Dutta’s allegations against Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’, the commission took suo motu action and sent a notice to Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya and others.

MUMBAI: Maharashtra State Commission for Women has sent a notice to Nana Patekar in the Tanushree Dutta sexual harassment row.

In light of Dutta’s allegations against Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’, the commission took suo motu action and sent a notice to Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya and others. 

The commission asked them to send their reply to within 15 days. 

The commission also asked Dutta to be present before the commission to present her case if she wants. 

Vijaya Rahatkar, Chairperson of the commission, said that they sent notice to both the parties to appear before the commission or send their reply in next 14 days, “The commission will decide after hearing both the sides,” she said. 

On the other hand, Dutta decided to record an official statement with the Mumbai police. Her lawyer informed that Dutta will also approach Mumbai district magistrate to ensure the investigation is properly conducted on her allegation case.
