Startup Maharashtra Yatra, an initiative of SkillSikho.com and Mentorpreneurs will commence from April 30 from Gadkari Rangayatan in Thane.
Thane: Startup Maharashtra Yatra, an initiative of SkillSikho.com and Mentorpreneurs will commence from April 30 from Gadkari Rangayatan in Thane.
According to a statement here on Saturday, the objective of thes Yatra is to develop startup ecosystem in Tier2, Tier3 Cities of Maharashtra. The yatra will reach and encourage students and entrepreneurs in ten cities across Maharashtra and help them with the right resources for their startups.
''Most of the startup events happen in Metros, with English as their communication language. This becomes a big challenge for the youth in Tier 2, Tier 3 cities as language becomes a big barrier for them,'' it said.
''Kunal Gadahire, youth from Dombivli has initiated the yatra. Youth from small cities and town should know business journey as well they should get practical knowledge this the motto behind this startup yatra,'' the statement added.
A workshop will also be organised on April 30. The workshop will be open and free for all. Eminent speakers form various field like Pankajj Ghode, President-Global Blockchain Foundation, Sushil Mungekar, Founder- Enlearning, Rajiv Vaishnav, Ex President- Nascom and Startup investor, Atul Rajoli, Founder- Lakshyavedh institute of Leadership and excellence, Pramod Sawant, Founder- Yukti Media Consultancy will guide the audience.
Renowned names in the startup industry will be a part of the initiative. This will provide an opportunity to the budding entrepreneurs to interact with them. Through a - Pitch Your Startup competition , a winning startups will get opportunity to raise funding upto 50 lakh rupees.
A total turn out of more than 1000+ students and 5000+ businessmen is expected for the programme. The Startup Maharashtra Yatra will be organised in two phases. In the first phase it will be launched in Thane on April 30, May 5 in Chiplun, May 12 in Aurangabad, May 17 in Nashik and May 26 in Jalgaon. The second phase will see the initiative being launched in Pune, Nagpur, Amravati, Sangli and Kolhapur, the statement added.
