Sena praises Rahul Gandhi

Sena praises Rahul Gandhi

Mumbai: A day after Shiv Sena’s decision to abstain from voting in the Lok Sabha on the trust vote, Sena mouthpiece Saamana came out with endless praise for Congress President Rahul Gandhi stunning political observers. After the high voltage drama in the Parliament over the no-confidence motion and Rahul Gandhi’s much publicised hug to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Saamana’ applauded Rahul Gandhi with a headline, “You have won, Brother” (Bhava Jinkalas). This is the fourth time Saamna has praised Rahul Gandhi.

While Sena has been expressing its displeasure openly against the BJP, it has not shown the courage to walk out of the government. On Thursday evening, a letter by party MP Chandrakant Khaire was released to the media saying all MPs have been ordered to vote in favour of the Modi government during no-confidence vote but on Friday, the party announced that they will abstain from the voting process, now, Sena has come out with endless praise for Congress President Rahul Gandhi, creating a lot of confusion about what the party exactly wants.

Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena leader and spokesperson praised Rahul Gandhi outside the Parliament and also in Saamana. “Rahul Gandhi is becoming mature in politics,” he said. He further said that Rahul Gandhi didn’t give a hug to Modi, but it was a shock.

“We are matured in politics and we can understand what is good and what is bad. If Rahul Gandhi changed himself and emerging as a leader, then there is no problem to praise him,” he said.

Sena’s sudden twist has confused many including the BJP which has refused to make any comment on Saamana’s praise of Rahul Gandhi.

It is obvious that the Shiv Sena is repeatedly seen praising Rahul Gandhi, not because of their love for the Congress Party but because they want to embarrass the BJP as much as possible.
