Mumbai: The Legislative Assembly was adjourned on Thursday after members of ruling party created a ruckus over the alleged audio clip of Dhananjay Munde, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council.
Also, Shiv Sena members created chaos over the decision to revoke the suspension of MLC Prashant Paricharak. Due to the ruckus, Speaker Haribhau Bagade adjourned the Assembly thrice, while the Legislative Council was adjourned once over the chaos.
BJP members entered the well as soon as the Assembly session began and demanded suspension of Munde. The ruckus continued and the Speaker had to adjourn the House.
Sunil Prabhu from Shiv Sena raised the issue of reinstatement of membership of Prashant Paricharak in the upper house.
"Paricharak insulted the soldiers and their wives, so he was suspended. Those who are insulting soldiers should be declared as anti-national and punished and his suspension should continue," he demanded.
Anil Parab of Shiv Sena demanded the same in the Legislative Council. He said Paricharak should not be allowed in the House and his suspension should continue. "If the BJP wants to contest on his post than the Shiv Sena will not file a candidate on the same constituency, but such people should not be a member of the House," Parab said.
Chairman Ram Raje Nimbalkar said the decision was taken unanimously so it cannot be withdrawn. "If the Shiv Sena wants to discuss the issue, they can move a fresh proposal and demand Paricharak's suspension," he said.
Parab said he will move the proposal on Monday.
