Norms to recruit CM fellow get stricter

About fifty fellows will be recruited on a timely basis of which one-third would be female.

Pune: The Maharashtra government on Wednesday announced different norms for the recruitment of chief minister fellow (CMF) under the chief minister fellow programme. These fellows work on social issues in Maharashtra and propose a solution on these issues to the government. 

A notification issued by the Government on Wednesday stated that the fellow to be recruited should have scored 60 pc at graduation and should have at least one year’s work experience along with knowledge of Marathi, English and Hindi languages. The government has also laid an age limit from 21 years to 26 years.

About fifty fellows will be recruited on a timely basis of which one-third would be female. Recruitment will be based on an online objective test. 

The fellows will be entitled to a monthly salary of Rs 35,000 and transport allowance of Rs 5,000. The fellows will be provided seven days’ training.

The notification stated that the performance of the fellows will be monitored on a timely basis.
