MTDC launches tourism festival

Competitions like fort making and rangoli will also be held at various places

Pune: Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has launched a 'Paryatan Parv' (Tourism Festival) from October 5 to 25 to promote tourism. 

Addressing the media on Friday, Vaishali Chavan, Regional Manager of MTDC, said that the festival was inaugurated by Pune Divisional Commissioner Chandrakant Dalvi on Thursday. Chavan said that the move will help people explore various tourist destinations. 

A press note issued by MTDC stated that an essay competition will be organised in schools. Competitions like fort making and rangoli will also be held at various places. Apart from this, a light and sound show will be organised in Malshej ghat and Panshet, besides food festivals at Matheran, Mahabaleshwar and Panshet. Other events will also be held during the festival.
