Maratha protesters create ruckus in Cong rally

As the rally reached the Sambhajiraje Chowk in Waduj, Maratha protesters started shouting slogans related to the Maratha reservation and other demands.

PUNE: As the display boards during the ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra,’ did not mention about the Maratha agitation, angry protestors tried to disrupt the rally, which was passing through Waduj in Satara district on Monday. The protestors made allegations against the two former CMs of Maharashtra i.e. Prithviraj Chavan and Ashok Chavan, who were leading the rally.

As the rally reached the Sambhajiraje Chowk in Waduj, Maratha protesters started shouting slogans related to the Maratha reservation and other demands. This is when the leaders of the Congress got down from the vehicle and tried to control the situation. They discussed the issues with the protesters and brought the situation under control.

Congress leaders assured the protesters that they are with the Maratha protestors and that they will ensure that the Maratha reservations see the light of the day.
