Five killed in Mumbai air crash

Mumbai: An eight-seater chartered aircraft crashed in Mumbai's crowded Ghatkopar area on Thursday afternoon at about 1.15 pm.

The aircraft crashed near Ghatkopar's Sarvoday Nagar.

According to police sources the aircraft crashed close to a construction site in an open.

Five people including one pilot, three passengers and one pedestrian were killed.

The crash caused a huge explosion and fire which created panic in the area. 

Fire brigade sources said they reached the spot and were trying to douse the fire.
