Files piling up at State’s co-op commissionerate
Patil went on leave after taking charge on May 11. Meanwhile, Konkan Divisional Commissioner Prabhakar Deshmukh retired. Patil instead went there as the Konkan Divisional Commissioner
Pune: The State Commissionerate for Cooperation has played a major role in the historic decision to waive farm loans amounting to Rs 34,000 crore. The commissionerate compiled all data, prepared the criteria regarding the farm loans and provided these to the State government.
However, the Commissionerate is currently headless. There was ‘zero pendency’ of files two months ago but files have started piling up now. A few months ago, many gazetted officers were transferred in the State. The then Commissioner for Cooperation Chandrakant Dalvi was one among them, who was transferred as the Pune Divisional Commissioner. He was replaced by Jagdish Patil as the Commissioner for Cooperation.
Patil went on leave after taking charge on May 11. Meanwhile, Konkan Divisional Commissioner Prabhakar Deshmukh retired. Patil instead went there as the Konkan Divisional Commissioner.
Since then, the Commissionerate for Cooperation has remained headless. The administration has become lethargic.
Senior officials admitted that policy decisions regarding various sections in the Commissionerate for Cooperation have been put on hold.
