Mumbai: After instances of malfunctioning of Electronic Voting Machines and Voter-Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPAT) during Bhandara-Gondia parliament by-election, the Election Commission (EC) has declared re-poll at 49 polling centres in five assembly constituencies.

Meanwhile, Gondia District Collector Abhimanyu Kale has been shifted and Kadambari Balkawade, CEO of Nagpur Zilla Parishad has been posted as Collector of Gondia.   Polling for Palghar and Bhandara-Gondia Lok Sabha seats took place on Monday, where opposition parties alleged malfunctioning of EVMs and VVPATs.
