Pune: Speaking at a workshop arranged for Shiv Sena office bearers and activists, Sanjay Raut, who is also the spokesperson of the party, said that the CM of the State, Devendra Fadnavis, should force MLA Ram Kadam to resign. Kadam is currently embroiled in a controversy due to his statement about abducting women.

The MP and firebrand spokesperson was addressing a workshop arranged for the office bearers of the party in the Pimpri-Chinchwad, Bhosari, Maval constituencies, where he spoke about the strategy and outlook of the party. Later, while interacting with the media, he came down hard on the errant MLA Kadam. “Such repeated instances of its MLAs making irresponsible statements expose the real face of the BJP. It is trying to damage the environment of the State,” he said, adding, “Ram Kadam should be forced to resign by the CM.”

“The MLA, who can go to that extent in disrespecting women, must be removed from the assembly. The BJP has become arrogant with power in its hands. In the coming elections, the people will surely show the party its place and put down its arrogance,” Raut said.

“The people are suffering from inflation since the BJP has come to power. The economy is crumbling and the dreams of ‘Ache Din’ have proved to be false,” he added.

He also said that the Shiv Sena has begun the organisation building activity for the elections and is conducting taluka level meets all over the State. He said that the Maval constituency is important for the Shiv Sena and as it is contesting on its own, the next election will see a Shiv Sena chief minister for the State by any means possible. He said that Shiv Sena is prepared for simultaneous elections.
