Pune: Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has asked schools to tell students to submit drawing elementary and intermediate certificates by January 10 to get additional marks for art.
The board has extended the dates for the same after a revised government resolution (GR) was released on December 20 by the State School and Sports Department. The GR reads: "Students will not be given additional marks based on intermediate results, if they have not passed the elementary exams. This condition is applicable from March 2019 board examination".
The board released a circular on Friday stating that in order to be considered for extra marks for drawing, students have to submit their elementary and intermediate certificates as per the revised GR by January 10. The schools will have to submit them to the board by January 20.
Students, parents, teachers and school administrations have been asked to make the necessary note and do the needful, while the schools should see to it that none of the students remain out of the benefits, stated the circular by the board.
As reported by Sakal Times on December 15, educationists had expressed disappointment for the sudden changes made by the State government ahead of the board examination in March 2018, stating it to be too late to inform students about the development which can affect their performance at the last minute.
