Bloomsbury India releases ‘30 Second Thrillers’ by KV Sridhar

Mumbai: The city on Wednesday witnessed the launch of the most anticipated advertising focused book 30 Second Thrillers, published by Bloomsbury India at ITC Grand Central, Parel. This is the first book ever which has extensively covered behind the scenes of ad spanned popular advertisements spread across a period of time, right from the Doordarshan days to today’s YouTube era.

The launch event was attended by crème de la crème of Indian advertising and marketing world, Piyush Pandey, R Balki, Prasoon Pandey, and Nitesh Tiwari to name a few.

The book is authored by KV Sridhar, popularly known as ‘Pops’ in advertising circles. He is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Hyper Collective. He has earlier worked with Leo Burnett for 17 years in his 30 year-long career.

The 30 Second Thrillers features interviews with creative heads and directors of all generations. The author has handpicked each ad based on their popularity among viewers, met their creators and talked to them about the entire process. The book is not burdened by advertising jargon, but simply weaves stories using some of the most memorable ad campaigns.
