PUNE: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Ahmednagar Dilip Gandhi, said that the opposition parties have no issues with them and hence, they keep attacking corporator Shripad Chindam, over a audio clip which had gone viral, where he had allegedly made derogatory remarks about Shivaji Maharaj. The MP was addressing party activists in the view of the forthcoming municipal elections in Ahmednagar.

Chindam had faced a severe backlash from the opposition as well as irked citizens after he allegedly made derogatory comments about Shivaji Maharaj over a phone call to a municipality worker. The audio clip had gone viral, causing threats of physical violence and demonstrations against the first time corporator. His office too was vandalised.

Gandhi said that the workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party must work confidently and aggressively to ensure an easy win in the elections as the opposition have no issues to discuss and hence, whenever they want to raise an objection or cause disturbance, they complain about Chindam.
