Mumbai: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday hit record high at 38,416.65, all-time-high advancing by 131 points on strong global cues.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 50 points to 11,620.70.
The Sensex registered intra day high ane low at 38,487.63 and 38,227.36 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 11,620.70 and 11,546.70 respectively.
The sectoral indices that gained were FMCG, Health Care, IT, Telecom, Power and Utilities kept the market firm in early trade.
The gainers were Powergrid by 1.95 pc to Rs 190.90, Hind Unilever by 1.53 pc to Rs 1779.25, HDFC by 0.96 pc to Rs 1931 and NTPC by 0.87 pc to Rs 162.60.
The losers were Tata Motors by 3.66 pc to Rs 259.20, Tata Motors DVR by 2.87 pc to Rs 140.50, VEDL by 2.51 pc to Rs 213.70 and SBI by 2.22 pc to Rs 300.10.
