YOU CAME, YOU SAW, YOU FANFESTED

For the much-awaited main event, Ritviz set the mood with his phenomenal DJ-ing skills, which was followed by a series of fantastic performances by other artists.

YouTube Fanfest 2018 opened with a bang at Jio Gardens, Bandra Kurla Complex Mumbai, on March 24. Popular YouTubers like Bhuvan Bam (BB Ki Vines), Carry Minati, Ashish Chanchlani, BeYounick, Gabbie Hanna (thegabbieshow), Mumbiker Nikhil, Technical Guruji, Collins Key, Matt Steffanina, and several others, walked the red carpet with élan. The fans also got a chance to take selfies with their favourite YouTubers at the ‘meet and greet’ event. The merchandise of several YouTubers was also put on sale. 

For the much-awaited main event, Ritviz set the mood with his phenomenal DJ-ing skills, which was followed by a series of fantastic performances by other artists. Rap by Technical Guruji got an overwhelming response. This was followed by Voice of Ritu who kept the audience enthralled with her melodious voice. 

BeYounick’s item was a real treat. He sang the glories of Chai with Ashish Chanchlani and interacted with fans as well. Aksh Baghla entertained the audience by bringing some fusion to the stage with his mix of Western and popular Bollywood hits. The short skit by Girliyapa was a welcome break from song and dance. 

Sonali Bhadauria danced her way into the hearts of her fans. The Screen Patti’s mimicry of some popular YouTubers was also much admired by the audience. 

Diljit Dosanjh, the popular Bollywood singer, sang his favourite numbers. Gabbie Hanna added an international touch to the event by singing two popular English numbers. Melvin Louis and Matt Steffanina entertained the audience with their fantastic dance moves. Collins Key delighted everyone with his incredible and unbelievable magic item. Divine, the rapper, got the crowd jumping with his famous originals.

Bhuvan’s act, which was one of the most awaited performances, was like a cherry on the cake. He sent the audience into a frenzy as he sang some popular numbers and his newly launched song.

Lilly Singh, aka Superwoman, sent a video clip on raising awareness of women’s education, which was also aired. Last but not the least, popular singer Neha Kakkar  made her fans groove to her Bollywood numbers.

The finale was a spectacular affair. Ritviz again displayed his DJ-ing talent encouraging the entire cast to dance. The audience didn’t want to be left behind so they too  took part. Anchors SnG Comedy also played their roles in making this event a grand success. 

Thus ended the YouTube Fanfest leaving the fans exhilarated, exhausted, and some have already started their countdown for next year’s show.
