The year of getting back!

The year of getting back!

The year 2017 has indeed been the year of getting back for couples, in stark contrast to 2016, the year of break-ups. Quite a lot of celebrity couples reunited this year, re-realising their love for their ex flame.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s relationship has been a rather bumpy one. They first met on the sets of a Hollywood romantic movie in 2010 and have been linked ever since. Their relationship has seen a lot of ups and downs along the way with both of them confirming their engagement in the year 2012 and calling it off the following year. The break-up of course came with reports of them being linked with others. This year though, they are done with all the drama. Things have got pretty serious and the engagement is back on track. Khushi Kavathekar, a Miley Cyrus fan, says, “Miley has finally what she deserves and this year could not be any better.”

The list will be incomplete without mentioning Jelena — Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. The adorable couple has had many on and off relationship dramas; an interesting fallout of it being the songs released by the two that became the chartbusters. A few of these numbers actually became the anthem for every lonely lover out there.

But 2017 definitely had a different plan for the exes. Justin was linked to several leading ladies including Hailey Baldwin, Kourtney Kardashian and Sofie Richie, while Selena had kept her dating profile really low until in January when she was spotted with the Weeknd, a Canadian musician, enjoying quite a lot of moments that sent waves of oohs and aahs through her fan-base. After a brief period of dating, the duo called the relationship off. And Justin and Selena started texting when she was in hospital for her kidney transplant. This was a beginning towards rekindling their relationship. Discussing their bond, siblings Rebant and Angela Jacob got into a heated argument. “It is so good to see them together,” said Angela while Rebant believed this is not going to last for a long time, “It is going to result in another album from both of them,” he said.

Well, if the breakups of these music personalities never happened, what would you have on your playlist?

Love is definitely in the air and everyone just seems to be love-struck, putting behind their mistakes and the past behind their backs. We actually cannot trace when Chloë Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham officially met but they have been on and off for a couple of years now. A rumour spread like wild fire that the duo had got secretly engaged when they were seen wearing matching rings. “I really hope they both last together for a long time now,” says Sonika Lamba, who believes their chemistry is practically magic.

This year was definitely packed with love for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, who tied the knot recently in Italy in a non-publicised wedding ceremony. Who knew they would come this far after a brief tiff when they could not make time for each other? Adding fuel to fire, Virat even unfollowed his lady love on Instagram.

But that was that. The two are back together and the world got to see a big fat Indian wedding. “Marriages are made in heaven and this one was my favourite,” says Sanika Pathak who was more than happy to see their wedding pictures.

We asked people about the celebrities they would like to see back together and topping the list were Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan. As the year is almost coming to an end, let’s hope the couples who fell apart, are back together. All’s well that ends well.
