Summer treats
There are hundreds of fancy biscuit brands available in the market that promise unique and international flavours, but despite that nothing has been able to beat the charm of a simple packet of Parle-G.
This decades old brand has successfully been able to make a place for itself in everyone’s hearts, and people continue to love it for they associate the biscuit with childhood, friendship, togetherness and nostalgia. A perfect combo with tea, and still affordable, Parle-G can be used to make summer desserts like Kulfi with the classic Kismi flavour, Mango Milkshake and so on. Here are some recipes.
Mango Milkshake
INGREDIENTS
- Parle-G biscuits, crushed 6-8
- Mango, chopped 1 cup
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Vanilla ice cream 2 scoop
- Milk 1/2 cup
METHOD
- Add a cup of chopped mangoes in the grinder.
- Add 6-8 crushed Parle-G biscuits over the chopped mangoes.
- To the above ingredients add 1 tbsp of sugar and 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream.
- Top the ingredients with half a cup of chilled milk.
- Mix all the above ingredients together.
- Pour into a glass, and add crushed Parle-G biscuits to garnish.
Cafeccino Cold Coffee
INGREDIENTS
- Cafeccino…...4 tsp
- Coffee powder………...2 ½ tbsp
- Milk………….1 cup
- Sugar………1 ½ tbsp
- Cream……….2 tbsp
METHOD
- Blend milk, coffee powder, Cafeccino, sugar and cream.
- Serve in a tall glass.
Kismi Kulfi
INGREDIENTS
- Milk 1 cup
- Kismi Kulfi 3
- Sugar 1 tbsp
METHOD
- Blend Kismi with milk and sugar.
- Boil the mixture till the milk thickens.
- Freeze in ice trays and enjoy your kulfi.
