Sources further reveal that despite his busy schedule, Sushant will be meeting school principals and selecting trained counsellors who will visit a few schools in the city on a weekly basis.

Sushant Singh Rajput who stood seventh in the AIEEE but dropped out of Engineering in the fourth year, to pursue his dream for acting, continues to stress on the importance of education. He has introduced the Sushant4Education programme. According to sources, through the programme, Sushant hopes to develop a strong sense of learning in young minds as he truly believes education is the key to a healthy nation. “One such initiative under the programme involves providing counsellors to schools, to guide young students in making the right career choices and understanding their strengths and aptitudes,” says a source.

Sources further reveal that despite his busy schedule, Sushant will be meeting school principals and selecting trained counsellors who will visit a few schools in the city on a weekly basis. So far, counselling sessions have already been activated in two schools.

Says a source, “When Sushant announced this initiative on social media platforms, over a hundred applications from counsellors came in. He has already shortlisted two who have started visiting schools from this month. He will be meeting the school principals and counsellors to select candidates himself for this programme. Next on the agenda is installing projectors in certain schools, to make subjects more interactive by bringing in the visual medium and make learning fun. Majority of the kids from these schools are first generation learners.”

Says Sushant, “My mother always taught me that we educate our children not to become a doctor or engineer, but the impact of education reflects in their thought process and decision making. This is a very small step and it will give kids new excitement and encouragement.
