...is what TV actress Surbhi Chandna includes in her diet. Here, she shares her diet and fitness plan

Surbhi Chandna is not only one of the fittest actress on Indian television but most stylish one too. The actress who plays the role of Anika in Star Plus’ Ishqbaaaz is gearing up for a special wedding sequence titled Band Baaja Badhaiyaan, on the channel.

Surbhi along with leading ladies of other shows will flaunt fashion designer Neeta Lulla’s outfit. “Because I have to look best for my wedding sequence, I am on a porridge diet. My co-stars are frustrated seeing porridge made out of Dalia in my dabba everyday (laughs). But I can see the change,” says the actress.

Surbhi is on a different high after losing the extra kilos. “Owing to the long hours of shooting, I do not get time to workout. So I make sure that I eat right. Along with Dalia, I have pulses and dal, which is an important part of our diet. I sometimes have Palak Dal or Dahi Poha. For dinner I only enjoy soup,” says the Qubool Hai actress.

She admits that if she hadn’t been in the entertainment industry she wouldn’t have taken the efforts to get in shape. “But the entertainment industry is pretty competitive and they want actors who are fit, look great and do good acting. Having said that, there’s no denying that it definitely feels great, if you are in shape. Your body and face features become more prominent,” adds she.

Talking about her dietary pattern, the actress reveals that she doesn’t have a sweet-tooth, but loves spicy food. “That way, I don’t like gorging on sweets. I prefer Rasam and Rice instead. I love South Indian cuisine,” she says.

Here’s some quick health chat with the actor:

My fitness regime: Eating at the right time because I have hardly any time to workout.

My daily diet: A good and heavy breakfast followed by coconut water. I have Broken Wheat or porridge for lunch. And, Dal and Soup for dinner.

The body part I love training: Lower body.

The body part I hate training: I hate weight training and arms.

The body feature I love the most: Neckline. After losing weight, my shoulder bone has become prominent

Who inspired me to work-out: No one in particular. I inspire myself after looking at the competition in television industry. Most of the them are so fit.

Fitness mistake that people make: I think people avoid eating ghee or oil but they do not realise that our body needs ghee for shine and we need that little grease. I make it it a point to have a one spoon of ghee in my diet everyday.

My cheat diet includes: Fondue and sea-food.

I love gorging on: Nachni chips.

The best body in telly industry: Mouni Roy.

My fitness mantra: Eat right and at the right time
