Looking for a serious relationship or just a summer fling? Here are five reality TV shows that offer you the chance to meet someone special and see if you hit it off

If you’re tired of swiping left on Tinder, and have given up on going out and meeting the people your friends set you up with, why don’t you give these reality shows a try? Though it’s a long shot, a very long shot, you might just find the right person — all you need is a strong strategy, a good grip on mind games, determination to complete tasks and a certain ‘x’ factor that nobody has been able to define yet. Here are a couple of reality shows perfect for those who love to love.

MTV Splitsvilla is an Indian television reality show that airs on MTV India. The reality show revolves around young boys and girls trying to secure a place in “Splitsvilla”, a villa. It is a “hunt for love” show where boys and girls compete in tasks to stay in the competition and mingle with the contestants to find love. In the end, one boy and one girl are crowned the winners of Splitsvilla, as a couple. There are a lot of fights, jealousy, hatred, friendship, backstabbing, and love when all these wild contestants get together.

Dare 2 Date is an anti-romance, anti-mush reality series that premiered on Channel V. The show revolves around a dating platform where VJ Andy plays part Cupid (and part Devil) pairing people who are pretty much the complete opposite of each other’s ideal mate. The couple are then packed off on a romantic weekend and sparks fly as they get to know each other better. In the end, it all comes down to whether the couple lives long enough to tell us their story.

MTV Love School Season 3 will be a relationship school for real-life couples in a mess and in a dire need to repair their relationships. Adding a twist to this for the first time ever, eligible singles will make their way into the sacred nest of love struck couples. Couples will not only get schooled in matters of the heart but also discover the depth of their partner’s loyalty with singles entering in their lives.

Dating in the Dark is a reality show created in the Netherlands where three single men and women move into a light-tight house and form bonds in total darkness. Throughout the show, the host provides the men and women with additional insights by providing personality profiles showing which contestants are their best matches. This reality show asks the question — Is Love Blind? Six daters get to know each other without seeing each other, giving them a chance to like the person for their personality first and not their appearance.

Comprising former fan favourites and controversial characters from the Bachelor franchise (The Bachelor & The Bachelorette) that look for another chance at love, in true Bachelor fashion. Contestants travel to a romantic paradise hoping to turn a potential summer fling into the meaningful relationship. Over the course of the season, viewers witness the amazing journey of the contestants, as they explore new relationships, fall in love and often go through a renewed heartbreak. Hosted by Chris Harrison, Bachelor in Paradise features shocking twists, surprises, unexpected guests and some of the most unlikely relationships. The show airs on Colors Infinity in India.
