Here's a list of movies that will give you all the motivation you need to stick to your new year resolutions

About 80 per cent of everyone’s New Year’s resolutions go down the drain by the end of the first month of the year. As days go by, you are less and less motivated as you get busy with life to stick to the resolutions you make for yourselves. But a little motivation goes a long way. When you feel like you’re slacking away, check out these movies to keep you inspired and to keep working on your aspirations.

The Founder
The franchise has become so large and widespread that it is hard to believe that it was all started by one man. Do you know the story behind McDonald’s? If you want to hone your entrepreneurial skills, watch The Founder. Perhaps surprisingly, there is a lot to learn from Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton), a traveling salesman who meets the two McDonald brothers and is credited with the success of the fast-food chain. While Ray may not be the perfect businessman, you can definitely learn about tenacity, vision and how to create a movement. Watch the film on Amazon Prime.

Boyhood
This movie will tell you how important it is to spend more time with your family. Boyhood beautifully captures the fleetingness of childhood, and of life in general. Watching the actors grow and change in parallel to their fictional characters was a genius approach by director Richard Linklater, and will definitely make you want to pick up the phone and call your family. Watch Boyhood on Amazon Prime.

Wild
If Wild doesn’t inspire you to go on that camping trip, hike that mountain, or run that marathon, we don’t know what will. Cheryl Strayed (Reese Witherspoon) packs her backpack and sets off on a hike more than a thousand miles of the Pacific Crest Trail. All by herself, with no prior experience of hitting the outdoors like this, she is in for an adventure of a lifetime. She is here to inspire you to make time to check off that adventurous journey in your bucket list. Watch Wild on Amazon Prime.

Bridget Jones’s Diary
If you think that you’re a hopeless romantic, just wait until you meet Bridget Jones (Renee Zellweger) in this adorable comedy about a bumbling career woman who hopes to turn her life around in the New Year by keeping a journal. As she narrates each day’s entry, you become privy to poor Bridget’s struggles to loose weight, her embarrassing attempts to flirt with her boss, and her shocking realisation that she’s caught in a love triangle. Bridget is here to teach you that no matter how pathetic you think you are, there’s always someone out there who will find something about you to fall in love with. Watch Bridget Jone’s Diary on Netflix.

Dangal
Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former wrestler, decides to fulfill his dream of winning a gold medal for his country by training his daughters for the Commonwealth Games despite the existing social stigmas. The Phogat sisters show you that winning doesn’t come easy. There will be times when you want to quit, or when you stray away from your goal, but if you overcome these obstacles, there’s nothing that can stop you from achieving your dream. Watch Dangal on Hotstar.

Banking on Bitcoin
The world is changing, and so are its ways. To keep up with the new pace of things, and understand how cryptocurrency really works, watch this film. This documentary features interviews with enthusiasts and experts, covering Bitcoin’s roots, its future, and its technology. Watch Banking with Bitcoin on Amazon Prime.
