I love to sing, says Maniesh Paul

Host and actor Maniesh Paul who is hosting the 10th season of music reality show Indian Idol on Sony TV says that if he gets a chance to do playback for others, he will definitely love to do that. On asked if he is open to playback singing, he says, “Well, you never know what the future holds. If I ever decide to do playback singing, I would want to do it for my on-screen role first, sing for myself. I love to sing. I have always done the work that I have enjoyed the most.”

The actor who has hosted several reality shows on television says that Indian Idol 10 is one of the biggest platforms for budding singers in the country and it has been an absolutely fantastic experience till now! “It is one of the finest reality shows on Indian Television when it comes to music. Indian Idol has a unique identity of its own and in its own special way has become synonymous with the term ‘singing reality show’,” he says.

The show is being judged by Anu Malik, Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar. But Maniesh can’t choose his favourite judge. He says, “I can’t select any one from the three of them because all of them are my good friends. I have worked with Vishal and Anu ji before, however, I am working with Neha for the first time. I have known Anu ji since a very long time and we share a good relationship. Similarly, I have known Vishal for a long time and he even knows my family pretty well. So, working with him has always felt like being in a family.”

Will we get to see a new avatar of Maniesh in the show? “Yes, definitely. I love reinventing myself. So, there will be something new in every episode that audiences will get to see. Also, you will see me in a different avatar and not to forget I will be wearing a new pair of shoes for every episode. My trendier avatar and the musical maestros will raise the entertainment quotient to a higher level for Indian Idol 10,” says Maniesh.
