I am not someone who will give up easily: Hina Khan

Before entering Bigg Boss house, actress Hina Khan spoke about her feelings, surviving on the show and more

Soon after completing Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 8, Hina Khan has entered another reality show -- Colors’ Bigg Boss 11. The show, which started on October 1, has a mix of celebrities and commoners, which will fight till the end for next 90 days.

Apart from this Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress, the show will have Hiten Tejwani, Sapna Chaudhary, Sshivani Durga, Priyank Sharma, Benafsha Soonawalla, A-Cash Dadlani, Jyoti Kumari, Bandagi Kalra, Arshi Khan, Puneesh Sharma, Zubair Khan, Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta.

Before entering the house, Hina, in a candid chat, said that it’s a stressful feeling to be away from family and added that she will be her own self on the show.

Excerpts:

As you are set to enter the Bigg Boss house in a couple of days, what’s going on in your mind?
I am feeling a lot of anxiety. I mean I will be away from my family and close ones. It’s a bit of a stressful feeling. Whenever I am sad or confused, my go-to person is Rocky (rumoured to be her boyfriend), who won’t be around me for a while. So honestly, I am very very anxious and restless in sleep too!

What will be your strategy to survive in the house till the end?
Honestly, no strategy, no planning or plotting works, because you are 24x7 under the lens! You can’t keep pretending, it’s as simple as that! You can pretend for the initial 2-3 days, but definitely not after that! As for me, I like living life my own way, so I would want to follow it my way. Since I have been a Big Boss fan and have watched all the seasons, I have definitely understood how it works! I know you have to prepare yourself for the worst. I am not going into the house as a celebrity but as a human being and I will put forward what I truly am. That is also what I am expecting from others. I tend to gel with people who are genuine!

Considering your popularity with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, do you think you already have an advantage over others, especially the commoners in the show?
I don’t think it works like that! A lot of people were commenting about me winning Khatron Ke Khiladi even before the results were announced. So it’s definitely isn’t about being popular and having an advantage over others. Also, as far as Big Boss is concerned, it is all about votes. If you consider the last season, there was a good mix of celebrities and commoners but a commoner managed to take home the trophy! It’s honestly about your journey in the house and how you conduct yourself in there. People start watching that and then showering you with votes. So I believe if your journey in the house isn’t good, votes will not come in! At the end of the day, you have to give your 100 per cent and be entertaining! You have to stand out.

After watching Khatron Ki Khiladi, we have realised that the tasks won’t be a challenge for you. So what will be?
Yes, to some extent I do agree on this! After Khatron Ke Khiladi, tasks would somewhere not be so challenging. Even though the tasks on Khiladi put us into a lot of challenge, they were just for a few minutes each. But coming to Big Boss, it is going to be all about your endurance. The tasks in Big Boss last for hours at a stretch. These things are going to definitely be all about your patience levels and endurance. So it’s a different ball game altogether. Currently, my strength is in the fact that I am not scared of anything. Having said that, it also depends on what the task and the situation is but I am not someone who will give up easily. And if you talk of the challenge bit, living with strangers is a challenge because you are not sure of who will or won’t become your friend. Surviving in that atmosphere I think will be a kind of challenge.
