Here’s a list of songs which should be a part of the celebrations

Think Holi and instantly, the gorgeous Rekha in a white salwar-kameez and a flamboyant Amitabh Bachchan in white kurta-pyjama dancing to Rang Barse in Silsila comes to our mind. There are several other popular Bollywood tracks,  which you can play at your Holi bash, if you are planning one at home or at a friend place. For your convenience, we have created a playlist. So download or play them on music apps.

Movie: Silsila
Singer: Amitabh Bachchan
Music Director: Shiv-Hari
When it comes to Holi songs in Bollywood, Rang Barse is undoubtedly one of the most iconic numbers. Featuring  Rekha, Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjeev Kumar, the song shows Rekha and Big B’s characters openly flirting with each other. Your Holi playlist is incomplete without this one.

Movie: Baghban
Singers: Udit Narayan, Amitabh Bachchan, Sukhwinder Singh, Alka Yagnik
Music Director: Aadesh Srivastav
Yet another Amitabh Bachchan number, Holi Khele Raghuveera is all about Big B and Hema Malini’s romance on screen. A rustic track, do not miss this one.

Movie: Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Singers: Shalmali Kholgade, Vishal Dadlani
Music: Pritam
Remember Deepika Padukone dancing to Balam Pichkari in white hot pants and a red top with Ranbir Kapoor? The song is a complete dance number. A rage among youngsters when it released in 2013, it continues to be popular.

Movie: Badrinath Ki Dulhania
Singers: Neha Kakkar, Monali Thakur, Ikka Singh, Dev Negi
Music Director: Tanishk Bagchi
Though it’s originally not a Holi song it has a Holi sequence in which we see Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt matching steps. The dance number is a fun track.

Movie: Waqt: The Race Against Time
Singers: Sunidhi Chauhan and Anu Malik
Music Director: Anu Malik
The Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Akshay Kumar-starrer didn’t do well, but the song Do Me A Favour... was a big hit. Priyanka and Akshay’s onscreen romance in the song was hard to miss.

Movie: Sholay
Singers: Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar
Music Director: R D Burman
A Holi bash without Holi Ke Din is incomplete. The iconic number is still one of the favourites of Holi revellers. In case the younger generation finds it hard to search the original track, they will find several remixes, which they can play and certainly enjoy.

Movie: Pataakha
Singer: Sukhwinder Singh
Music Director: Vishal Bharadwaj
This is how one should dance on Holi after having bhang. The song penned by Gulzar, has got a rustic feel to it and is not a conventional fast track, nonetheless enjoyable.

Movie: Jolly LLB 2
Singers: Raftaar and Nindy Kaur
Music Director: Manj Musik, Nilesh Patel
The popular number, starring Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi, is a fun track. It will surely make you dance though the choreography in the film was strictly ‘OK’.
