The month of June is observed and celebrated as the ‘Global Wellness Month’ and to spread awareness about the importance of wellness, Hyatt Pune Kalyani Nagar, has planned a series of activities spread over June 1 – 8. 

Today, wellness means much more than just the physique and your fitness. It has evolved to being mentally and spiritually fit too. This means not only exercising the body, but the mind and soul too.

Hyatt Pune Kalyani Nagar commenced the celebrations with a panel discussion on ‘Wellness and You’ with experts. Three wellness experts shared their views on what wellness means to them.

Dr Nidhi Agarwal, a Homeopathic physician, wellness coach, counsellor and the director of Prakash Holistic Care Centre, shed light on her approach to medicine-free lifestyle, which she has been practising for the past 12 years. 

Another expert, Dr Nikita Mittal, a Physiotherapist by profession, realised at the peak of her career that she wanted to do more for her patients than just prescribe exercises. To her dance is the biggest form of wellness. She practises dance therapies and through this she aims at healing and transforming people from all walks of life

Yoga instructor Dimple Somji was also present for the discussion. She believed that in recent years, yoga has gained the attention it deserves. For her wellness means peace of mind, and balance she gets from yoga.

Manisha Nihalini is a practising graphologist, numerologist, a tarot card reader and a hypnotherapist. In order to understand human psychology and help people understand themselves better, Nihalani mastered these skills to heal and channelise energy cores that lead to physical and mental wellness.

Vidhya Tiwari, an ex editor and fashion consultant, was a moderator for the evening. She practises various elements in her day to day life that defines wellness and well-being. The Hyatt Pune Kalyani Nagar, will also be conducting a talk on mental health.
