Explore to the fullest

Padharo, a travel-assist app, enhances your travel experience. Initially, started as Padharo Udaipur and now Padharo, this start-up platform is satiating the wanderlust among travellers by creating a top-notch, curated, support travel experience. Moreover, it has opened endless opportunities for not just service providers but locals too. Living up to its progressive motto of: “We travel with you...” Padharo is a perquisite for the Indian tourism industry.

The signature project of GLocal Travel Experiences, Padharo was launched in June 2017 in Udaipur. The stunning City of Lakes, Udaipur is indeed the perfect muse for the pilot run of the project. Since almost a year in the market, with its Android as well as iOS versions available on Google Play, Padharo has seen significant receptiveness of the users. With 7000+ downloads and many more enquiries, its social existence is effervescent.

Padharo works on the strong foundation values of Travel, Local, Ease, Trust and Support, and through this venture, one can live the true essence of exploring and tourism. This experiential travel app works with the sole aim of providing excellent end-to-end life cycle, back-end as well as front-end support. Padharo offers authentic information about must-go places, hotel bookings, curated tours with guide-assistance, vehicle booking and slated events and tickets along with access to dedicated help desk. Apart from that, users are provided with other necessary information like list of restaurants, hospitals, hotels, ATMs, petrol pumps, Forex, washrooms and maps and navigation and more.

This start-up venture is the brainchild of Kapil Sharma and his co-founder Priya Maheshwari. They, along with their efficient team, work relentlessly to not just promote tourism, but also do their own bit to give back to society, by promoting and connecting locals. Padharo’s main focus is on the local experience and connects ‘visitors with locals’ by bringing native experts on-board. For that purpose, their business model has been tweaked from just B2C (Business to consumer) to B2B (Business to business) and B2B2C (business to business to consumer).

Sharma says, “Padharo is a system which helps us empower a small town community to thrive and earn. Through this platform, we have successfully generated numerous new job options for the native people. Moreover, Padharo has now started on-boarding hotels as their concierge partners and Uber along with local transport companies as our transport partners, thus creating more revenue channels for hotels. On the hospitality front, we are constantly working to provide users with an impeccable service, so the option in the app of users reviewing and giving us feedbacks, eventually helps us to strive better.”

With their incredible idea of creating exquisite travel experience for tourists and philanthropic endeavours for the community, Padharo is surely a boost to in-city tourism, community and the hospitality industry in large.
