At the Beauty Studio, shoppers can learn to create key makeup looks such as Night Smokey, Diamond Lips, Perfect Brows, Dewy Foundation, Frozen Eye Shadow and Golden Frame Smoky Eyes. With the party season knocking on the door, shoppers can learn different techniques of contouring and tips and tricks to get the perfect eyeliner. The new looks created by the brand which are sure to become a rage this party season include Glitter Mania, Precious Metals and Holographic.

The CEO of Sephora India, Vivek Bali believes that it’s very important for the buyers to get the feeling of the products before they buy it. “Pune is a city with a wide shopping culture and its diversity makes us believe that our second store will be welcomed with equal enthusiasm. We are also glad to be present online and hence making ourselves available all over India for beauty enthusiasts.”

DAY-TO-NIGHT
If you’re planning to head to a party right after a long day at work, try this look. Start the day by cleansing your face with some cleansing water. If you have sensitive skin/combination skin, do not use an oil-based/cream-based moisturiser, but use a gel-based one. “Use a peach primer to even out pigmentation and discolouration. Next, apply your foundation. Use a stippling brush/beauty blender to blend. Then apply concealer, or you can apply another layer of foundation and finish it off by dabbing on loose powder. If you want to contour your face, use a powder contour to just give your jawline some definition. Don’t go overboard with it. Add a dash of blush on the apple of your cheeks and blend it into your contour for a natural effect. Then do up your eyes with liner and mascara,” advises the expert.

To add some drama to the look before you step in to the party, add some shimmer to your makeup. The amount of glitter you use is entirely up to you. You can also find products that double up as an eyeshadow and a highlighter at the store. Opt for a matte lip colour because with the glitter on your eyes, you don’t want to be too flashy. Use a setting spray to hold the look.

KEEP IT NATURAL
Neither too cakey nor too loud, this makeup look will just feel like your own skin, but with a glow. “A good moisturiser and sunscreen is very important before you start your makeup,” said Sephora makeup expert.

Post the preparation, a flawless base is the next goal, so you need to pick the correct shade of foundation. “On a regular basis, you should use a foundation which doesn’t have a thick consistency, otherwise your makeup will look cakey,” explains the expert. “Start applying a small quantity of foundation and work your way up. Concealer is optional. If you want to use it, dab some on the patchy areas of your face and set it with a loose translucent powder,” the expert adds.

To make sure your makeup lasts all day, lock it with a setting spray. The expert suggests CoverFX makeup setting spray. “Once the base makeup is set, you can add mascara and a little bit of blush on your cheeks for a flush of colour. Finish your look with a lipstick of your choice,” says the expert.

SHINE ON
Glitters and metallics are in vogue right now. Chunky, powder, or liquid, people are experimenting with all kinds of glitter. To shine bright this party season, the expert suggests accentuating one facial feature with glitter or metallics. “Once you are done with your base makeup, depending on the time and occasion, you can add some sheen to your look. Glittery eyelids can rank up your glamour quotient. Use any glitter eyeshadow on your eyelids either in a form of powder or liquid. Look for a glitter product that you can use on your face, hair and body that is not heavy and messy. Dab a little on your eyelids and the area of your face you want to focus on and finish your look with a nude lip colour,” says the expert.

Avoid going overboard and ending up with loud makeup. It is very important to maintain a balance. “If you want smokey eyes, the rest of your face has to be subtle. You cannot combine smokey eyes with a bold lip colour. You need to focus on only one feature at a time. Similarly, if you opt for a bold lip colour, you have to keep your eye makeup subtle. So with glittery eyelids, go for peaches, corals for your lip. And with metallic or glittery lips, don’t use eyeshadow at all, just a lot of mascara should do the job for you,” says the expert.
