In its seventh edition, the Bappagraphy 2018 contest has gone international. It has also introduced a new feature — Bappa Story — this year. Organised by Dreams 2 Reality and Wide Wings Media, the contest aims at providing one platform for amateur and professional shutterbugs.

Talking about the contest and its features, Kushal Khot of Wide Wings Media, says, “We started Bappagraphy six years ago. It’s an event for dedicated photography enthusiasts who are covering Ganesh festival. We invite entries for the contest from across the state, and this year Maharashtra mandals functioning in USA, UK, UAE are also eligible. The best entries win prizes and are also exhibited at an art gallery.”

Veteran photographer Milind Dhere is associated with the event and guides the participants on how to capture the best shot. The team also organised an interactive session-cum-workshop for the enthusiasts, so that they have a clear view regarding the concepts.

The Bappagraphy 2018 will hold the competition in two categories — Amateur and Professional. The participants can also take part in ‘Bappa Story’ segment. “The participants need to explain in one-line the story idea for three photographs being submitted for the contest. The participation in this segment is voluntary,” adds Khot.
