A celebration of love

A celebration of love

Shruti Mangaaysh is a decade-old fashion brand from the cultural city of Pune. The trust for the brand has been established not only in Pune but also in other parts of the country where they have showcased their collection. Designer duo Shruti and Mangaaysh Mahaadev, offer bespoke designs, and celebrity and costume styling. They believe in preserving Indian textile art and hence one can see extensive usage of handwoven heritage fabrics in their apparel.

The duo will be dressing the contestants for the grand finale of the second edition of Sakal Beauty of Maharashtra, which will be held at Amanora — The Fern Hotels & Club, Pune, on February 16. The collection that the duo will present at Saturday’s event is a continuity of the series titled Rihana and Victor.  It symbolises eternal romance, hence the clothes will narrate the story of love. There will be a lot of drama, emotion and passion expressed through the collection, which has been inspired by two imaginary characters, Rihana and Victor.

While Rihana is a beautiful character, full of life, energy and ready to captivate the world with her aura and charm, Victor is a crisp and charismatic character, intelligent and smart enough to win the world. Each outfit will depict varying intensity levels of love and romance in different phases of life.

The collection has been exclusively handcrafted and the fabrics used are pure silks, georgette, crepe, organza with brocade, chikankari and zardosi work. The Indo-Western fusion collection in earthy colours and bright Indian hues have frills, flair and pleats, which have been influenced by the Victorian era.
The brand also excels in designer wedding wear. Those looking for exclusive wedding wear can visit their store at Lane no 13, Prabhat Road, Pune.
