Buckle up

Buckle up

When it comes to styling chic outfits, one golden rule is to pair it with the right accessories. Belts are the ultimate accessory which come to your rescue to make any outfit look more chic and polished. The way you style your belt can instantly transform your look. There is always a clever way to wear a belt as not all belts suit every outfit. This waist-defining accessory helps balance out the silhouette of your outfit. Here are a few ideas:

A statement buckle belt over a white shirt
An oversized buckle has been a key trend over many seasons. Statement belts can easily dress up any outfit. A wide belt helps pull together the look and adds definition to it.

Belt that blazer
One of the ways to wear a blazer like a street style star is to belt it. The more quirkier or bold the belt, the better. The trick is to not button the blazer but just overlap the flaps over each other and clinch it with a belt.

Wide belts for summer dresses
Be it casual summer dresses or formal styles, the first instinct while styling an outfit involving a dress is to add a belt. The style of the belt often decides the tone of the look. With the style of belt you can add a boho element or a hint of grunge to your look.

Clinch an oversized tshirt or kimono
One of the easiest ways to rock an oversized tshirt or a kimono like a fashionista is by belting it up with a classic leather belt or a corset belt.

Classic belts
A classic leather belt, which is a wardrobe staple, can be easily paired with any basic pant and top combination. One of my favourite ways is to wear it with a skirt, as the belt brings more emphasis around the waist defining the silhouette. Keep it classic with a black or tan belt or make a bold statement with a coloured one.

Belt bags
Updated versions of a fanny pack, this mix of a belt and a bag, has remained a hot trend for quite some time now. Perfect for storing the right essentials, the practicality of this one is unbeatable.
