With its retro look and good sound quality,  Quantum Hi Tech’s QHM 6333 speaker can be a great option

At first glance, the Quantum Hi Tech’s QHM 6333 speaker will remind you of an old radio, but that’s the USP of this product —  a blend of old and new. Along with a classic look with a beautiful wooden body, the lightweight speaker has an amazing sound quality that will simply uplift your mood and get you grooving.

If you are someone who has a thing for all things vintage, you will find this speaker impressive. It will easily blend with your retro home decor and yet stand out for its design. The speaker is available in dark wood, light wood and black silver shades along with unified black. The one we got was dark wood.

The Bluetooth 8000 speakers come with 2000 mAh battery that can last for 12 hours. There are slots in front for TF card and a USB port. The first thing anyone wants to check out on a Bluetooth speaker is the sound.

Except from flagship handsets, the speakers on most mobile handsets are not enough for activities that require loud music. However, QHM 6333, comes equipped with 4W*2 total power Output RMS ‘that can fill any room with sound’. The speaker with 10m range is fully wireless and features an enhanced bass driver that delivers rich, balanced low-end without muddying the highs.

Putting that claim to test, we played some really bassy songs. The claim mostly works. Sure, they are not Bose or AKG-level sound, but value for money. Plus, it comes with two modes — outdoor mode, which delivers long-range audio, while indoor mode creates rich sound with deep, full bass delivering full frequency range. Playing AC/DC’s Back in Black is a perfect workout to check that bass. And it packs a huge sonic punch. Then we put the indoor mode to test. For the outdoor mode, too, it worked quite well.

Priced at Rs 1350, it is a good deal if you are looking for good quality sound. It also comes equipped with access to FM radio via a tuner and an inbuilt antenna. Of course, this one is a doozie. FM radio is becoming such an integral part of our driving life that any Bluetooth speaker without FM feels incomplete. In short, if you want good sound at a cheaper rate, this you can keep in mind.
