Actors Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi have been signed for a psychological thriller. This is the first time that the two actors are sharing screen space. The film is being produced by Anand Pandit, who has collaborated with Big B on several projects and their friendship is well known in the industry circles.
Rumi Jaffrey is directing the project, which is expected to go on floors this year.
Says Pandit, “My friendship with Amitabh Bachchan goes back two decades. I have not met any other actor who matches his skill and commitment. It is an honour to be creating a film with the legend. Given the subject of the film, and his association with a talented actor like Emraan Hashmi, I do believe we have a winner in our hands.”
“I believe in Emraan, we have one of our best young actors. His performances are compelling,” adds Anand.
Confirming the news, Amitabh Bachchan says, “Both Anand Bhai and Rumi are like family to me. In Rumi, we have a fantastic storyteller and in Anand Bhai, a producer who understands and values the creative process. The film is a taut thriller and is going to keep audiences on the edge.”
