Beyond help and care

Beyond help and care

Prashanti Cancer Care Mission (PCCM) is a public charitable Trust (established in year 2000) in Pune with the goal of providing affordable medical treatment and rehabilitation to underprivileged cancer patients and their families.

Prashanti’s ‘Pink Ribbon Support Group’ was founded in 2010 to further this cause by providing support to cancer patients and caregivers throughout their sensitive journeys. To encourage and empower the patients before, during and after their treatment, the Pink Ribbon Group organises various activities like annual picnic, breast cancer symposiums, drum circle events and tea parties with an intent to celebrate life.

The High Tea hosted recently in the city saw cancer conquerors, majority of whom were provided free and concessional treatment at PCCM, having a ball. The attendees were treated with pampering salon services like massages and gel nail polish by Salon Apple staff and enjoyed fun-filled musical evening and live performances by members of Rotary Club of Amanora, Pune. The pumped up environment served as a catalyst in engaging the crowd to dance and perform karaoke singing. Patients shared their journey and various experiences of conquering breast cancer, thus reinforcing the mission of Pink Ribbon Club.
