Skechers, the American performance and lifestyle footwear brand, announced a new range of sneakers called Skechers D’Lites in India. The announcement was made in the presence of Bollywood celebrity and fashionista Jacqueline Fernandez, who sets the temperature rising with her stylish looks, sizzling aura and her performances on the silver screen. Jacqueline’s arrival at the store was striking as she came out of a life-size shoe box followed by a flash mob performance.

This range showcases a wide range of chunky, colourful sneaker options with the brand logo in the midsole which is unseen before and adds a signature element to the shoes. Skechers D’Lites will reiterate the 90s trend of chunky sneaker design.

Commenting on the range, Jacqueline said, “I have always loved the late 90s era when it comes to fashion, specially the dad hats, jeans and the chunky sneakers have always been my favourite. I am extremely delighted to be a part of launch of this range. Being in showbiz, I love being up-to-date and my interest lies in casual, trendy and comfortable style of footwear they offer, making the brand my go-to brand for my #OOTD making it more stylish, and enjoyable.”

Speaking about the launch, Rahul Vira, CEO, Skechers, South Asia Pvt Ltd said, “With the launch of this range we are making sure that the 90’s trends are never getting old but only moving back into style.

The shoe range includes designs from the late 90s era style, inspired by a new wave of colourful, chunky, footwear options. With the entry of this segment in the Indian market, this range has rightfully made a place for itself in conversations about chunky sneakers.”
