Luv Tyagi, after his eviction from Bigg Boss, says that he is glad that he was nominated along with the celebrity contestants.

Luv Tyagi was clearly one of the luckiest contestants of Bigg Boss, Season 11. After being nominated week after week and being pitted against celebrities like Hiten Tejwani, Priyank Sharma, the Delhi boy continued to get ‘saved’.

However, Luv finally got eliminated on Sunday after live voting. The aspiring model-actor was nominated along with Shilpa Shinde, Hina Khan and Vikas Gupta. The four nominated contestants were taken to a Mumbai mall where hundreds of fans had gathered to meet them. The gathered crowd also voted for the contestants and because Luv received the least number of votes, he had to leave the show.

Many of his fans commented online that it was not fair, considering not many know Luv in Mumbai. Ask him if the live voting worked against him and he replies, “I don’t think so, because fans are fans. Be it Mumbai or any other city, they will stand up for you and that matters the most. Obviously, people had their favourites. The crowd wanted to see Shilpaji. There is no doubt in my mind about that.”

Soon after coming back from the mall, Luv had mentioned to Puneesh and Akash that Shilpa Shinde will win show. “I will say it again. Shilpaji will win the show. Vikas too has a good chance of winning it.”

There were several young girls present at the mall, who had come to support Luv, and were yelling his name. Luv blushes and says that it was a completely “new feeling for him”. “I had never experienced anything like this in my life before. So yes, it was quite overwhelming,” he adds.

However, the Delhi lad is definitely disappointed to get evicted just a week before the finale. “We were just a week away from the finale (the finale is on January 14) so I am a little upset. But having said that, it’s ok because I had three celebrities nominated along with me. I am glad about that.”

It’s been a roller-coaster ride for him in the show. From being called the weakest contestant on the show to emerging as a potential winner, he has seen it all. “It was a great experience and an amazing journey. Initially, it was difficult. But later I was appreciated and then there were the votes, which helped me stay motivated. That’s when I realised that I need to buck up.”

Why did he emerge a little late, we ask. “That’s true. Even I didn’t know that I was not visible. Usually, the three of us — Hina, Priyank and I — hung out together. When I entered the house, there were so many new people; I took some time in getting comfortable and talking to everyone.”

Though Luv and Hina were good friends, they had a big fight in the finale week. But Luv says that they sorted out their differences before he quit the show.

As for his plans, Luv replies, “Let’s see what happens next. I am not sure about it right now.”
