Star Bharat’s flagship show Savdhaan India has specially created a five-part series titled Special Crime Series, that will premiere on July 29. The first series Chausar stars Sukirti Khandpal in the lead role where she portrays a pregnant woman. The series takes inspiration from the Bollywood thriller Kahaani, which starred Vidya Balan. A tale of vengeance, she enters a household of a political matriarch with a motive to destroy them completely.
Sukirti was quoted saying, “I am really excited about this role in Savdhaan India. I have never been a part of a project like this in my career. I wanted to be a part of Savdhaan India purely because of its mammoth mass appeal. The show manages to influence millions of viewers in the country and I really longed to be a part of a project like that. This is also the first time I am playing a pregnant woman, so that was quite a welcome challenge for me.
